Moment Mia Schem, 21, is greeted by her mother and brother after being released from Hamas

Israel has announced the release of six more hostages by Hamas, and they are now safely back in Israel, awaiting reunification with their loved ones. Heartwarming footage captured the emotional moment when Mia Schem, a 21-year-old hostage, broke down in tears as she embraced her mother and brother for the first time since being kidnapped 55 days ago.

Mia was released alongside Amit Soussana, 40, and the group of six hostages is currently with the Red Cross and special forces troops on their way to the Hatzerim Base for medical checks. The released hostages include Mexican-Israeli Ilana Gritzewsky, 30, Bilal Al Zaiadna, 18, and his younger sister Ayesha Al Zaiadna, 17. They are the only children to be returned home on the seventh day of the agreement.

The Al Zaiadna family is still waiting for the release of older brother Hamza and father Yousef after the four family members were kidnapped from their dairy farm in Kibbutz Holit. Sapir Cohen, 29, and Shani Goren, 29, have also been released as part of the ongoing deal, which involves the release of 30 more Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.

Nili Margalit, a 41-year-old nurse who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz, has also been freed. All six hostages are expected to be reunited with their families after undergoing routine checkups with doctors. Harrowing video footage depicts Amit and Mia, hollow-cheeked, exiting a vehicle and being swiftly placed into a Red Cross car.
