Massive star officially returns after 88 days at AEW Holiday Bash 2025

A major star has just made their blockbuster return tonight at AEW Holiday Bash. Their appearance has completely changed the landscape within the roster, as they have immediately made a major change.

MJF has not been seen on the Jacksonville-based promotion since All Out: Toronto back in September. He faced off against Mark Briscoe that night in a Tables N’Tacks match, which he ended up losing. He then mentioned how he was going on a hiatus, but upon his return, he’d be a more dangerous version of himself.

Moments ago, on Holiday Bash, AEW held the contract signing for the three-way match between Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page at Worlds End for the world title. After cutting a promo on one another, they each signed the contract. But to their surprise, there was one more last-minute change in store.

MJF made his return and stormed into the ring before bringing out his world title contract, which he earned at All In. He signed this, adding himself to the match at Worlds End. The bout at the pay-per-view will now be a four-way match for the AEW World Championship.

This was a shocking change, as the stakes are higher and MJF’s appearance has completely changed the dynamic for this contest. He has a bone to pick with the other three men in this match, so this will be a way for him to hit two birds with one stone. He’ll be able to get his retribution, along with having a chance to win back the world title.

Friedman is also not to be taken for granted, as there is a reason he is the longest-reigning world champion in company history. It remains to be seen which of these four megastars comes out on top in what could be a show-stealer of a match.
