Tallison Teixeira: “Two cardioless bums,” “Cut them both”

Many expected the heavyweight fight between Tai Tuivasa and Tallison Teixeira to produce fireworks at UFC 325.

Teixeira had never fought in the second round, with all nine of his fights ending in the first. Tuivasa, for his part, is known for producing viral knockouts or getting knocked out himself.

The fight, however, turned into a bit of a bore after the first round. Teixeira dominated Tuivasa with a lot of wrestling and takedowns and didn’t allow the Australian much of a chance of standing up and fighting.

While Tuivasa tried his best in the second and third rounds, both fighters looked terribly out of breath during the final two rounds.

The pair struggled to make contact at times, punching at the air. There was also a moment where the fighters just stared at each other for a while and couldn’t really do much.

In the end, it was Teixeira who picked up a unanimous decision and continued his winning streak in the UFC. The Brazilian is now 9-1 in his career and bounced back after a defeat to Derrick Lewis in his previous fight.

As for the home favorite, this was another tough loss to swallow. Tuivasa is now 14-9 in his career. The more concerning part is that he is now on a six-fight losing streak.

Many fans were not happy at the current situation of the UFC heavyweight division. There have been suggestions that there isn’t enough firepower in the weight class with Jon Jones not fighting and Tom Aspinall being out due to an injury.

Several fans slammed this fight, with some calling on Gable Steveson to join the UFC, while others wanted major changes in how heavyweights compete. Some even wanted the pair removed from the UFC.
