What happened between Brandin Podziemski and Quinten Post? Fight between Warriors players broken down

Golden State Warriors teammates Brandin Podziemski and Quinten Post were involved in a brief on-court altercation during Tuesday’s 113–109 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. The two appeared to exchange heated words in the third quarter, as the tension carried over to the bench.

Hater Report shared a clip of their dispute on X (formerly Twitter), briefly explaining the root cause.

“Quinten Post was FURIOUS that Podz didn’t pass him the ball in the post and he went after him on the sideline lmao,” Hater Report wrote.

In the clip, Podziemski is seen handling the ball at the top of the key and attempting to drive through the elbow before being stopped by Derik Queen.

Post, meanwhile, appeared to have an inside position and called for the ball, but was not found by his teammate, which seemingly led to his visible frustration and the ensuing exchange.

The two continued to exchange words during the subsequent timeout before Draymond Green stepped in to defuse the situation.

Known more for his confrontations on the court, Green played the role of mediator on this occasion, drawing on his veteran presence to settle tensions between the younger teammates.

While the situation between Post and Podziemski was eventually settled, the Warriors were unable to build on their momentum as the Pelicans edged them out in a close contest.

The defeat leaves Golden State in a precarious position, having gone 2–3 in their last five games and sitting 5.5 games behind the Minnesota Timberwolves, who occupy the final playoff spot.

Brandin Podziemski once offered a hilarious take on Quinten Post’s improved shooting form

Despite the brief flare-up between Quinten Post and Brandin Podziemski on Tuesday, the two have largely been on good terms during their time with the Warriors. Drafted a year apart, the pair has been viewed as part of the franchise’s young core and has generally shown good chemistry when sharing the floor.

That dynamic has also shown up off the court. Podziemski previously joked about Post’s improved three-point shooting in January 2025, quipping:

“I think he’s playing well because his girlfriend is with us on the trip. I think she’s letting him play well.”

The light-hearted comment reflected the easy rapport between the two as they continue to carve out their roles as key contributors off the Warriors’ bench.
